This walk was originally supposed to happen a year earlier, and it was postponed due to the death of my mother on the day before it was to begin. The walk is dedicated to her, and a resting bench for walkers has been installed in her honor in Pleasant View. On a happier note, I was accompanied on day 12 of the walk, and for almost two weeks of the trip, by Liz, the person who would soon thereafter become my fiancée. Each "day" below corresponds to a walking day. Occasionally I took a day off from walking, and experiences from those days are incorporated into the previous or the following walking day's account. In addition to these verbal accounts are musings, photos, and videos on Instagram, Bluesky, and Twitter.
