Trip 7 - The Balkans
20 August 2003 to 11 September 2003
I knew I'd be traveling plenty on the second eight-month stretch of the Fosse
tour - but sneaking away for three weeks in the late summer would be my only
chance to go where I wanted to, and on my own schedule. I didn't have time to
take the trip I really wanted to take - a grand excursion through many of the
old Soviet republics - but the trip had plenty of Slavic flavor.
